WHAT WILL WE DO? The theme of our time together will be awakening our
natural aliveness, vitality, and good health. The springtime season should be fully
upon us by then (if not early summer, the way it’s been so far this year), giving us
an opportunity to engage with the energy of new beginnings that is activated in
springtime through a spring welcoming ritual. Through the transformative
practices of yoga and mindfulness, we will experience the delight of connecting
with our body, mind, and spirit. During this experiential retreat, you will learn to:
use yoga postures and breathwork to strengthen the mind and body, develop
mindfulness as an ongoing practice, release negative self-talk, contain and There
will be guided meditations, visualizations, and breathwork. You will learn and
practice easy, natural approaches to mindfulness that we will apply throughout
the weekend and that you can take home with you. You will have the chance to
listen deeply to your own needs and be guided by your intuition.
SCHEDULE: The retreat will start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, October
17th and end late Sunday morning on the 20th. The house will be available
starting at 4:30 on Thursday afternoon. The daily schedule includes morning and
afternoon yoga teaching sessions, an early morning "Sunrise Yoga" session each
day for those who wish to join in (you may choose to sleep in!), and a full moon
celebration on Saturday night. There will be plenty of time between the teaching
sessions to hang out at the beach, to play, and to be in your own rhythm.
ABOUT OUR ACCOMMODATIONS: This lovely, well-appointed home on St.
George Island sits directly across the street from the beach with a clear view of
the gulf and easy beach access in beautiful St. George Plantation. There is a
private pool and lots of deck space. Most of the participants will be sharing king
and queen beds, two to a bed, and there are also four twin beds available. The
house is very comfortable and just right for all of our retreat activities. We will
bring food to share for dinners and our own food for other meals.
